GTA 4 is about to go back on sale on Steam without Games for Windows Live, leaderboards and multiplayer, the items for which it was removed from the store.
Rockstar Games has announced that it will re-release GTA 4 on Steam, free of Games for Windows Live, leaderboards and multiplayer. The game will take the name of Grand Theft Auto IV: Complete Edition and will replace Grand Theft Auto IV and Grand Theft Auto: Episodes from Liberty City, merging them into a single package, in all the stores where they are available. Don’t worry, because the bailouts of the old versions will be perfectly compatible with the new edition of the game. The following radio stations will be temporarily unavailable: RamJam FM, Self-Actualization FM, and Vice City FM.
If you remember, GTA 4 had been removed from Steam due to Games for Windows Live. Those who already own GTA 4 will only have to update it to get the new version. Note that those who had not previously purchased the expansions will also receive the expansions. Not bad, being excellent single-player content, among the best products by Rockstar Games before the GTA Online hurricane.
Grand Theft Auto 4 features Niko Bellic, a European migrant who has come to Liberty City driven by the desire to forget his past. Unfortunately, things will go very differently than he hopes and will soon find himself entangled in a ruthless rise to power.
