Let’s read the official message: “Today Sony Interactive Entertainment made the decision to cancel its participation in PAX East in Boston this year due to growing concerns related to COVID-19 (also known as “new coronavirus”). We believe this is the safest choice as the situation evolves daily. We regret having to cancel our participation in the event, but for us, the health and safety of our workforce come first.

Even Naughty Dog, the software company of The Last of Us: Part II, said she was sorry the situation in a message on Twitter:” We are so sad to not be at PAX East! We really wanted to meet you and see your reactions to the demo. We know this will make waiting until May 29th tougher, but we appreciate your understanding. However don’t worry, because we have more to show before the launch.

For the rest, we remind you that The Last of Us 2 is an exclusive title for PS4, to be released on May 29, 2020.
