Call of Duty: Modern Warfare console players ask for more advantages on PC, to better balance crossplay matches.
Some console players of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare wants to have more advantages on PC players than they have already been given to them, such as assisted targeting. More precisely, they would like Infinity Ward to add a slider to change the field of view (FOV) also to the console versions.
Let’s imagine it is easy for everyone to understand how having a wider view represents a big advantage for PC players. Strangely, despite the inclusion of crossplay since the launch of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, no way has been thought of to homogenize the versions from the visual point of view.
Many have pointed out how some console games allow you to alter the FOV: for example Titanfall, Apex Legends and Battlefield 5. Unfortunately, as others have pointed out, there are numerous posts in the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare subreddit that make the same request and have never been heard. Probably the alteration of the FOV on consoles could have a heavy impact on the framerate unless the graphic detail is reduced. Talking about other games that have it does not make much sense in this case, because it is a complex feature to manage on fixed hardware, especially if to be inserted later. It should be evaluated in the development phase. For that matter, now that the crossplay console / PC is a reality for many games, developers will have to start paying attention to these details, which otherwise risk creating bitterness among the players of different platforms.
For the rest, we remind you that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is available for PC, Xbox One and PS4.
