New trailer for ‘Soul’, the next film from Pixar about the soul, personality, and dreams

The next summer hits theaters the new film from Pete Docter, the director of ‘upside down (Inside Out)’. It is titled ‘Soul’ and, as we have already seen in a first breakthrough, will once again take to the animation elements as complex as the soul. Discover a little more of their history in the new trailer:

This time, Pixar takes us to the beyond. But in a much more metaphysical ‘Coconut’. The film is starring Joe Gardner, a music teacher whose dream is to be a jazz star. After a terrible accident, your soul goes to “the other side” but he is not ready to leave the Groundnot when your dream begins to be fulfilled.

So you’ll end up in “the great origin”, a kind of school for souls, where to take the interests and personalities which then have the people that are sent. There you will meet 22, a soul that has no interest in coming to the Earth, but that will help Joe in his attempt to return.

The importance of the soundtrack

‘Soul’ will feature the voices of Jamie Foxx and Tina Fey as Joe Gardner and 22. The soundtrack, which will be very important in the film, will be composed of pro Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross, and Jon Batiste will be in charge of composing the songs of jazz that will sound in the movie. ‘Soul’ comes to U.s. theaters on June 19, but in Spain we’ll have to be more patient because it will not be complete until the 7 of August.
