‘Scream. Watch who you call’ it was one of those horror movies trend-setters. Almost anyone who has seen remember the one psychopath with the mask of the skull, one of the costumes most recurrent. Seeing that in recent years there have been confirmed remakes of other projects a few years ago, as ‘Chucky The doll diabolical’ or ‘night of Halloween’, we already know via Cinemablend that we will have reboot of ‘the Scream’.
Without a doubt, in addition to this confirmation, one of the news that has attracted attention is that managers of leading it will be Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett, directors who last year launched the ‘wedding Night’. This movie, despite seeming a more within the horror genre, received very good reviews and was one of the surprises of the year, so that its incorporation into this project assumes at first sight a good news.
Why don’t they get tired of the reboots?
And it seems that they have found a bonanza of which are not going to move. Although already mentioned above two examples, over the last decade we have had numerous reboots of films of the genre, as ‘Nightmare on Elm Street’, ‘Friday the 13th’ or ‘Piranha’, among many others. Definitely looks like a formula that, although it may like more or less, gives good economic results, and we will see if ‘the Scream’ get something and bring it big to this character.
