“Across the State, all public Institutions, are aimed at resolving this crisis is our top priority and all spaniards can feel protected. We are facing a crisis, new and different, unprecedented, very serious, and fatal, that puts at risk our health in every corner of Spain. But also, and very traumatic, that alters and influences our habits and the normal development of our lives, jobs and our companies, in short, our well-being. But also it is a crisis that we are fighting and we will conquer and overcome“they have started the King.

“In this situation, the first thing you want to do is send you all my love and affectionnext to the Queen and our daughters, many families in Spain who, unfortunately, have suffered the loss of any of your loved ones. We also do it to all of you who are especially affected, both personally and in your environment, by this virus and its consequences. To all of you, much strength and much courage,” he continued.

“In the second place, today is more of justice than ever to give thanks to all the people, organisations and public services, without exception, that are helping you, and are sacrificing themselves for others. And I want to embody that gratitude in one of them: we Knew that we have a great health system and a team of professionals extraordinary. To them I want to address now: you have our greatest admiration and respect, of our full support. You are the vanguard of Spain in the fight against this disease, you are our first line of defense,” said the Monarch.

A call to resistance and solidarity

This virus does not will conquer us. On the contrary. Will make us stronger as a society, a society that is more committed, more caring, more united. A society standing in front of any adversity. The all days and at all hours of the day, you are taking care of the affected, healing the sick, giving comfort and hope to those in need. Your professionalism, dedication to others, your courage and self-sacrifice are an example unforgettable. I will never be able to thank you enough what you are doing for your country. I do not may surprise you that since the houses in all of Spain is to hear a round of applause exciting and sense. A round of applause sincere and fair, I’m sure comforts and inspires”.

There are moments in the History of the villages in which the reality puts us to the test in a way difficult, painful, and sometimes extreme. Moments in which you are put to the test the values of a society and the capacity of a State. I’m sure we’re all going to give an example, once more, of responsibility, sense of duty, of civility and humanity, of dedication and effort and, above all, of solidarity, especially with the most vulnerable, so that no one may feel alone or helpless”.

Now we must put aside our differences. We must unite around a same objective: to overcome this serious situation. And we have to do it together, between all, with serenity and trust, but also with decision and energy. Now we have to resist, to endure and we have to adapt our ways of life and our behaviors to the instructions of our authorities and the recommendations of our experts to beat the virus. We must all contribute to that collective effort with our attitudes and our actions, regardless of how small. I know that it is easy to say, and I also know that is not easy to do in these circumstances: to organize every one in your work, in your home, with your family, or with your children. But it is what we must do for the good of all. Because each and every one of us is part of the solution to this crisis“said Felipe VI.

“This is a crisis temporary. A parenthesis in our lives. We will return to normal. Without a doubt. And do it sooner rather than later: if we don’t lower the guard, if all we unite our forces and work together from our respective responsibilities. We get the normality of our life together, the life on our streets, in our towns and cities; the economy, jobs, our companies, our businesses, our workshops… Spain will regain its pulse, its vitality, its strength. Over the years we have gone through very difficult situations, very serious, but, like the previous, this also we will beat it. Because Spain is a great country, a great people that does not give up in the face of difficulties. This virus does not will conquer us. On the contrary. Will make us stronger as a society, a society that is more committed, more caring, more united. A society standing in front of any adversity. Thanks to all, encouragement and forward“, finished King.
