Beware of SPOILERS!
*This article speaks of the second episode of the third season of ‘Westworld’
The shadow of ‘Game of Thrones’ is very elongated, even within the confines of HBO. The unprecedented success of the series has marked for ever the platformand that’s why they don’t want to leave it aside so quickly, even at the base of nostalgia. That is what I have done just in the last episode of ‘Westworld’, the largest production that has the channel now active.
In the chapter, entitled ‘The Winter Line’ and that he left samples of several new parks, Bernard and Stubbs are walking in the precinct of Delos Destinations when they are with two highly technical individuals. These are none other that David Benioff and D. B. Weiss, the creators of ‘Game of Thrones’. Both are talking about their chances of employment at the current situation of Delos.
But, what is more interesting is what they are doing in the meantime. It turns out that these technicians work for a fourth park, name unknown, and set in theme fantastic and medieval. And during your conversation you are creating a robot is very large, and different to the ones seen until now: a dragon with a look identical to Drogon, one of the “children” of Daenerys. What if the West was no more than another of the parks ‘Westworld’?
The creators of the series, Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy, confirmed to The Wrap these winks emerged as a result of his great friendship and admiration for Benioff and Weiss. “We have said many times before that the only reason that we can make ‘Westworld’ the way we do that is because they invented this version of the genre”says Nolan. “They invented this gigantic, face-to-face, ambitious, dark, degenerate, delusional, but beautiful television version that has allowed us to take a walk following in their footsteps”continued. “So, you worship these guys and we love your series”, the end.
In addition, Nolan also commented that the book of ‘A song of ice and fire’ has marked so much that they could not avoid to use the theme in that room park. “But we will not say the name of the park. Is the Park 4”, ended. It seems that, for now at least, the history of the new precinct will continue to be unknown. Or perhaps it is that we already know.
