Kelly Clarkson says that she felt miserable when lucia’s thin

(CNN) — Kelly Clarkson looked good a few years ago when he was on a diet and exercised to stay thin, but now he says that in reality he was not feeling well.

The singer is clarifying some comments he made to the magazine Attitude on the battle against the weight.

“When I was very thin I wanted to kill myself,” cites the publication. “I was miserable, inside and out, for four years of my life. But nobody cared, because aesthetically you look good”.

Clarkson, 35, broke into the music scene for the first time after winning the first season of “American Idol” in 2002.

With the fame also came the pressure to maintain a certain image. The magazine quotes Clarkson describing this period of his life as “a time too dark for me.”

“I thought that the only way out was giving up,” he says. “Estropeé my knees and to my feet because all I did was install the headset and run. I was at the gym all the time.”

This Tuesday, Clarkson tweeted to say that being thin was the result of his unhappiness, not the cause.

“Just to clarify, I was not miserable because I had to be thin,” wrote Clarkson. “I said that it was miserable and as a result I became thin”.

The singer denied that he had had suicidal intentions due to their weight.

“It is not true, I never contemplated suicide because of my weight,” wrote Clarkson. “I said that the people had not the slightest idea that I was unhappy, strangely because it appeared to be healthy.”

These days the singer is in a better place with a new album and then to give birth to their children River of 3 years and Remington for 1 year, with her husband and manager, Brandon Blackstock.

Clarkson, whose new album “Meaning of Life” arrives this week, you feel comfortable enough with your body to shut up quickly criticism on social networks.

When someone tried to humiliate her this summer, writing on Twitter, “This way,” Clarkson replied, “and yet I am amazing”.
