The shipping company Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) has chosen singer-songwriter Kelly Clarkson as godmother of the new ship of the firm, Norwegian Encore, which will debut next month of November in Miami.
The CEO of NCL, Andy Stuart, has made public this decision in the programme of Clarkson, produced by NBC Universal. As part of the initiative, the singer will act during the inauguration of the boat in Miami the next 21 of November in which it will comply with the tradition of blessing and to present the ship in an official way.
“We knew that we wanted someone that would represent our core values. Kelly is a model to follow, passionate about his family, music and the free operationor,” says Stuart.
To celebrate the appointment, the shipping company awarded during the program 20 music teachers with a seven-day cruise. The idea goes by to show the similarities between the education and travel as a “powerful tool that connects people and promotes awareness and understanding throughout the world”.
The above boat will offer routes of one week each Eastern caribbean from Miami as of November 24, 2019; Bermuda, Canada / New England from New York from April 2020, and Western caribbean from Miami in December of 2020. It was not until the spring of 2021 when debut at the west coast and sail from Seattle to Alaska.
