In these days of pandemic, it is common to hear countless movies and series have suffered delays in their release dates, or in its stages of shooting. The COVID-19 has been tasked to paralyze the industry in Hollywood in a way never before seen, and the blows are already being felt in the pockets. But not all releases of 2020 have been forgotten, there are still two that have not changed their original plans, Tenet of Christopher Nolan and the Dune of Denis Villeneuve.

Recently have been announced the premieres cancelled or delayed films like Mulan, No Time to Die, Fast & Furious 9, Black Widow, A Place of Silence Part II, New Mutants, Morbius, among many others. They have also delayed the recordings of The Batman , Jurassic World Dominion, Uncharted, The little mermaid, Mission Impossible 7, Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, Nightmare Alley. In the land of the small screen by now have fallen behind The Mandalorian – 90%, The Witcher – 67%, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Loki and more.
Things have not gone well for the premieres scheduled in these months, however, are two films that have managed to remain stable in their plans. What will keep their dates intact until their respective releases? Details below on both.
Tenet of Christopher Nolan the stage is set for the 24th of July as a big premiere of the summer. There is a wealth of information about its argument, but the synopsis more kindly points out that it will be an action movie action epic that revolves around international espionage, time travel and evolution. Possibly about a man who tries to avoid the Third World War through the time travel and the renaissance. Some rumors even dare to mention that this tape will have some kind of link with The Origin – 86%. It is starring John David Washington, and Robert Pattinson.

On the other side of the coin we have to Dune of Denis Villeneuve, whose launch is scheduled for 18 December. This is the new adaptation of the homonymous novel by Frank Herbert published in 1965, a story focused on the life of Paul, heir of the House Atreides, whose family receives orders from the Emperor to take the power of the planet Arrakis; but this transition save a background that is perverse and reveals the divine destiny of the young protagonist. Is it played by Timothée Chalamet, Zendaya and Rebecca Ferguson.
In this sense, one who suffers a great risk of delay is Tenet for its premiere in the summer. The same president Trump announced that the crisis COVID-19 could extend over several months of 2020, we will have to wait a little longer to know if the drama of Nolan manages to make it to the big screen or suffer the consequences of the current emergency.
On the other hand, Dune it is located in a terrain much safer. The saga comes to supplant the traditional premieres Star Wars with your proposal much more mature science fiction, an adventure that also deals with philosophical themes, ecological and messianic.
David Lynch introduced in 1984 his adaptation of Dune, a production that ultimately failed to convince the critics, but that is a jewel for many fans of the books.
