When it comes to diversity, no movie in the Movie Universe of Marvel or of the Universe-Extended DC compares with the film adaptation of the Power Rangers – 44% of 2017, in it we find a young black man, an asian, a woman of indian descent and a hispanic female lesbian. However, in the reboot of Power Rangers that prepares Paramount Pictures, it seems that they want to go farther and we could see a Ranger trans.

The news that the film of 2017 would not have a sequel it was a hard blow for fans, but in Hollywood, the box office leader and the tape hardly raised a little over$140 million worldwide, with a budget of US$105 million. In December of 2019, it was announced that Paramount Pictures would be developing a reboot by Jonathan Entwistle, creator of the series The End of The F***ing World – 90%, of Netflix.
Little by little they have been appearing rumours on the Internet about the cast, and in addition to that the Red Ranger will be a woman, it is said that could be interpreted by Sophia Lillis, young man who jumped to world fame for her role as Beverly Marsh in It (Eso) – 85%. Now, sources revealed to WGTC that Paramount was working on a reboot of Transformers (now confirmed), have said that we will see a Ranger trans.
Although it is not specified which of the Rangers will be, before you had ahead of time that the Blue Ranger would be gay. There is No doubt that there is a commitment to very large for this franchise represents the spirit of the times and shows us the diversity in all of its splendor. Despite the failure at the box office which meant Power Rangersthe cast remained upbeat along with the fans that we would see a sequel some day. That day, of course, never came, nor will come, but at least the careers of several of the Power Rangers of the film have taken a new direction. Dacre Montgomery joined the series Stranger Things – 90%; Naomi Scott was Jasmine in Aladdin – 70% and co-starred in Charlie’s Angels – 31%; Becky G. has triumphed in the world of music and Ludi Lin will participate in the reboot of Mortal Kombat – 34%.
In a season full of superheroes and larger studies that seek to represent the diversity of the world with characters that are LGBTQ, it seems that the Power Rangers, with all their lack of success at the box office, still a step ahead of the great franchises of Marvel and DC Comics.
