Miley Cyrus as an artist is extremely successful. It went from being a child star in Hannah Montana to now be a singer recognized internationally with many successes to his credit.
Those who knew Cyrus when she was a young actress in Disney Channel may recognize that she has changed a lot during the course of his career. However, it was not just his image, which saw a transformation. Cyrus revealed that she also went through experiences that left her questioning the religion with which he grew up.

Cyrus was born and grew up in the outskirts of Nashville, Tennessee. His family was quite religious, and was baptized in a southern baptist church before moving to Los Angeles at the age of 12 years.
When I was a teenager, Cyrus even wore a purity ring as a testimony of their faith. In an interview in 2008, he said: “Even at my age, many girls are beginning to fall, and I think that if [abstaining] it is a commitment that make the girls, that’s cool. “
Cyrus used to attend the church, but in 2010, he shared that, although his faith is still important to her, she expresses “going to church every Sunday”.
“I am very spiritual in my own way,” said Cyrus. However, let me clarify: I am a christian. Jesus is the one who saved me. He is what keeps me full and complete. But everyone is entitled to what they believe and what keeps them full. ”

Although Cyrus was very open about being a devout christian, revealed recently that, at some point, he no longer had a relationship with the faith with which he grew up.
In a recent conversation with Hailey Bieber, Cyrus shared that there came a decisive moment for her when he saw that the church that he knew would not accept different sexual orientations.
“I also grew up in the church in Tennessee in a time of the 90’s, so it was a time of less acceptance with all that,” said Cyrus. “I had some gay friends in the school. That is the reason why I left my church is that they were not being accepted. Were being sent to therapies of conversion. And I had a really difficult time with that and I also had difficulties to find my sexuality. ”
Hailey Bieber inspired Miley Cyrus to redefine their relationship with God
In the same conversation, Bieber also shared with Cyrus how he came to redefine his relationship with God when I was an adult.
Bieber said: “I Think there is a difference between being raised in the church and then being an adult and having your own relationship with God … I Feel I have found my balance with the spirituality, the faith and the church. I have found a church community that works for me, where I feel supported, loved and accepted “.
Bieber is currently a member of the evangelical Church Hillsong along with his husband, Justin Bieber. Hailey Bieber has been open about his faith and the fact that it is one of the pillars of your marriage.
“To be able to share that between us, to have that bond of faith and spirituality, is so [critical] for us, ” he once said in another interview. “It is the most important part of our relationship, to follow Jesus together, to be a part of the community of the church together. It is all over.”
After talking with Bieber, Cyrus shared that she understands better how to continue to follow a faith now that he is older and realizes that the way in which she was raised does not align with their current views.
