The calendar of upcoming 2020 has gone to the trash because of the crisis of the coronavirus: have been postponed the premieres of ‘No time to die’, ‘Fast & Furious 9’, ‘A quiet 2’, ‘Mulan’, ‘The New Mutants’, ‘Minions: The origin of Gru’, ‘Morbius’, and virtually all the films with projections of success at the box office. That will make movies scheduled to arrive in 2021 and 2022 will need to make site which have been delayed this year. However, James Gunn has assured that, at least for his part, his next two movies are still as planned.
Both ‘The Suicide Squad’ as the ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3’ could arrive on their scheduled datesas Gunn ensures that the quarantine has not affected, nor to the post-production process of the first or the plans of the second.
The sequel to ‘Suicide Squad’ has as release date 6 August 2021and according to the writer and director, there will be no problems to get there: “Right now there is no reason to move the release date”, claimed in Twitter. “We are following the calendar, or even developed. We were extremely fortunate to finish the filming and start the installation from our homes (thanks to a team of post-production and a survey forecast before the quarantine”.
‘The Suicide Squad’ will follow the established for the film from David Yesterday, although probably slightly change of tone and content, under the baton of the director of ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’. Become Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn, Viola Davis, Joel Kinnaman and Jai Courtney, but they join the cast Idris Elba, John Cena, Peter Capaldi, Taika Waititi, Nathan Fillion, Michael Rooker, and many others.
