Everyone at some point in our lives we have heard and sung the success of the eighties Manic Monday of The Bangles. And now Billie Joe Armstrong he decided to make his own version, but accompanied with the very Susanna Hoff, a member of the band that made famous the song.

This cover is part of a series of videos that has been taking the musician each Monday, under the name of Not Fun Mondays. That tries to give entertainment and joy to their fans with covers of some of their favorite songs.

For this week, Billie changed the catchy pop sound that has the original song by thunderous guitars and thick and strong voice, giving it its peculiar style. Your version of Manic Monday also comes accompanied by a video in which is seen the member of Green Day playing from the living room of his house. While in the other half of the screen looks to Susanna from her studio jumping and enjoying to play on guitar one of the biggest hits of his career.

Previously Armostrong had already covereado You Can’t Put Your Arms Around A Memory Johnny Thunders and I Think We’re Alone Now Tommy James and The Shondells. Both of them even you can find them on the channel YouTube Green Day.

Billie Joe Armstrong along with Elton John, Paul McCartney, Billie Eilish, Lizzo, J Balvin, Eddie Vedder, among others, will be part of the benefit concert on livestream One World: Together At Home. Which seeks to raise funds for the fight against the Coronavirus. This will be broadcast on the 18th of April via digital platforms like Facebook, Apple, Twitch, Twitter, Instagram, Amazon Prime Video, YouTube and TIDAL.
