With medical professionals around the world working 24 hours to treat, contain and combat the effects of coronavirus, this is the best or the worst time to announce a reboot women’s classic drama comedy medical half-hour of ABC: DOOGIE HOWSER MD.
The idea that comes from Kourtney Kang (How I Met Your Mother and Fres Off The Boat) and 20th Century Fox TV, is currently in development under the name temporary DOOGIE KEALOHA M. D. according to a report from Deadline, the project will be developed in Hawaii, and focuses on a 16-year-old half asian and half white who works as a doctor.
The original series was starring Neil Patrick Harris as Doogie Howser M. D., a doctor, a teenager who is forced to overcome the daily dose of “being too young” in the name of their patients while struggling with the trials and tribulations of being a child at heart. The original series was created by well-known showrunners, the deceased Steven Bochco and David E. Kelley, and produced by Steven Bochco Prods. and 20th Century Fox TV.
The concept DOOGIE KEALOHA M. D. is one of the latest ideas approved by Disney+, which continues to finding new ways and entertaining to cater to his audience family-oriented. The original series lasted four seasons, that was more than enough time for that Harris, and his character took hold as an icon of eternal pop culture.
Neil Patrick Harris will join the cast of the upcoming sequel of the Matrix Lana Wachowski alongside Keanu Reeves, Carrie-Anne Moss and Jada Pinkett Smith of the original films and the new characters of Jessica Henwick, Jonathan Groff, Priyanka Chopra and Yahya Abdul-Mateen II.
