Continue adding titles to the list of delayed releases by the pandemic coronavirus. Pixar, the digital animation studio that is part of Disney, has announced the launch of the Soul, its next animated film, has been delayed until the end of the year.
The studio announced that the film, which in its original version features the voices of Tina Fey and Jamie Foxx, will no longer hit theaters on the 19th of June, as planned, but what will the next 20 November.
Another Disney movie that has suffered the effects of the COVID-19 is a line and the last dragon, a film whose premiere scheduled for November 25, 2020 has been postponed until march 12, 2021. Another film from Disney live action even without a title that was going to come to theaters in 2020 has also been postponed until further order.
Soul follows a high school teacher, Joe Gardner, who dreams of becoming a professional jazz player. After a fatal accident, his soul separates from his body and must find the way back.
Disney already delayed the launch of several of its projects, such as the remake in the actual image of Mulan or Black Widow, the film of Marvel starring Scarlett Johansson, response to the pandemic.
Paramount Pictures has also pushed back the release of Top Gun: Maverick on June 24 and now will be the 23 of December of 2020, as well as the release of A quiet place 2 until the next September 4. Other affected securities of Paramount are Spongebob: A hero to the rescue, and The Tomorrow War.
Universal has done the same with the new installment of the saga Fast and Furious, and also with Minions: The origin of Gru, ¡Canta! 2 and Wicked. Sony Pictures has revealed that it will have to delay many of its projects, including Morbius, ghost busters: beyond, Uncharted, and Peter Rabbit 2: the leak. The filming of Jurassic World: Dominion and The little mermaid have also been forced to stop by the pandemic.
