Johnny Depp and Jeff Beck surprise with an unexpected duo. This pair of souls music have been working behind the scenes during the last few years in new music, and now they released their first single as a duo.
It is a reinterpretation of the classic John Lennon “Isolation”with Beck on guitar and Depp in the lead voice. Both are accompanied by old collaborators of Beck: Vinnie Colaiuta on drums and Rhonda Smith on bass. The band performed for the first time this song live at the Crossroads Guitar Festival Eric Clapton the last month of September in Texas.
“Johnny and I have been working together on the music for a while and we recorded this song during the time that we were in the studio last year. We didn’t expect to launch it so soon, but given all the difficult days and the true “isolation” through the people in these difficult times, we decided that now might be the right time for all the world to hear,” says Beck.

Depp, for his part, explains that they recorded ‘Isolation’ in the past year as his “own vision of a beautiful song of John Lennon”. “This song about the isolation shows the fear and the risks of existential to our world. So we wanted to arrange it for you, and we hope that it will help you to digest the time, or simply to help you pass the time while we endure the isolation together.”
