International stars sends the message of hope in the face of pandemic

The British actress Jameela Jamil opened the Saturday six hours of music streaming uninterrupted with stars such as Stevie Wonder, Paul McCartney, and Elton John in a global event that seeks to bring a message of hope and unity amid the pandemic coronavirus.

Jamil, known for her TV series “The Good Place”, he said to the spectators that the event is a moment of relief in the crisis.

“Leave their wallets. This is not a fundraiser. We are only here to bring you an amazing show, stunning live performances,” he said at the opening of the event.

In the first few hours of transmission appeared stars as the British footballer David Beckham, the singer Jennifer Hudson, Eason Chan from Hong Kong, Vishal Mishra of India, and the musician emiratí Hussain Al Jassmi.

The opening will be followed by a two-hour concert broadcast on Saturday evening by various television channels, with bands such as The Rolling Stones, Paul McCartney, Taylor Swift, and Billie Eilish.

It also showed presentations of Maluma, Camila Cabello, and Shawn Mendes.

The event, which counted with the curation of Lady Gaga and organized by the World Health Organization (WHO) and the nonprofit group Global Citizen, it is the largest effort of celebrities up to now during the pandemic of the coronavirus which has caused the death of more than 150 thousand people in the world.
