Two weeks of its release, Quibi isn’t doing anything right

The new streaming platform has dropped dramatically in its amount of downloads

A couple of weeks ago came on the market Quibithe new streaming platform exclusively for mobile phones and whose interesting concept is that all its contents are less than 10 minutes in duration.

At its launch, the past April 6,this platform was placed in the 4° place of the apps most downloaded, but 14 days later, descended to the position 57 in downloads and it seems that this trend will not reverse itself soon.

According to its developers, Quibi is intended for users on the go, that is to say, for people to enjoy the content as it moves from one place to another. However, with the running of the bulls because of the coronavirus, the platform is not fulfilling that purpose.

The application included a funding 2 billion dollarsfrom various investors and had 1.7 million downloads in its first week. Between the great characters that joined the project are Steven Spielberg, Liam Hemsworth, Chrissy Teigen and Sophie Turner.

In social networks, many users have complained about some of the differences of Quibi with other streaming platforms, in particular by not being able to make screenshots of programs, and is not able to transmit in PC or smart TV, another reason, perhaps, why the downloads are not being planned by the company.

Two weeks of its release, Quibi is a product very innovative but seems to leave with more doubts than satisfaction to its users. What will reverse the trend and stand as a benchmark of the streaming? Time will tell.
