Venom: Let There Be Carnage will be the official title of the sequel to the spin-off of Spider-Man that will be starring Tom Hardy. The film, produced by Sony Pictures, has also delayed its release date due to the health crisis generated by the pandemic coronavirus.

In the beginning, the sequel of Venom, directed by Andy Serkis (the jungle book) was scheduled to arrive in theaters on October 2 this 2020. But Sony has decided to, as reported by the displays, that eventually, the film would not see the light until the 25th of June 2021.

In addition, it has been revealed the official title for the film, which will be Venom: Let There Be Carnage, in reference to the character of Woody Harrelson, the serial killer Cletus Kasady, who, after coming into contact with a symbiont of extraterrestrial origin, he is going to be Carnage (Massacre).

The actor has already appeared briefly in the sequence post-credits of the first film in which the character of Tom Hardy, the journalist Eddie Brock, he comes to the jail to interview the killer.

The movie is part of the spider-verse who is assembling Sony Pictures with projects related to Spider-Man, the character who gives life to Tom Holland, and whose presence -at least by way of cameo – it is safe in Venom 2.

In this same universe -that time is not linked with the films of Marvel Studios – you will also find Morbius, the second spin-off of Spider-Man, starring another of the enemies of classic Peter Parker that in this case will be played by Jared Leto. A movie that hit theaters in March of 2021. Spider-Man 3 is scheduled to premiere in July of 2021, and yes it will be, as were its two previous installments, within the Marvel Universe.
