Rita Ora, Chris Martin and more than 20 musicians reversionan “Times Like These” to campaign for the COVID-19 – free Zone

London (EFE). More than twenty artists, among which are Dua Lipa, Chris Martin and Ellie Goulding, versionarán the song “Times Like These” of Foo Fighters for raise money in a campaign of solidarity for the crisis of the coronavirus.

The subject, which was presented this Thursday in a special program of three hours of the BBC, it will also be published as a single, whose net proceeds will go to various charitable causes.

The contributions from the United Kingdom will be allocated in equal shares to the organizations, BBC Children in Need and Comic Relief, while the international donations will go to the fund of solidarity response of the COVID-19, the World Health Organization (WHO).

AJ Tracey, 5 Seconds of Summer, Bastille, Grace Carter, Rita Ora, Mabel, Sam Fender, Sean Pal and Zara Larsson are just a few of the names that have decided to join the initiative.

Composed from the recordings of video and sound of the artists from their homes, the song will be produced by the british artist Adele, rapper Stormzy and producer Fraser T. Smith.

On the recording, Smith said in a statement to the british network the goal was to create a version of “stay at home”, in which there were “telephones, pots, pans and other objects that do honor to the “brilliance” of the artists, rather than to the “tricks” of a recording studio.

“More than ever, it is important to remember the valuable role that we have to bring hope, courage, and strength to each other. I hope this song can comfort in these times so complicated”, noted for its part the british singer Dua Lipa.

In addition to its broadcasting through television and radio, the single will be available on-demand on the BBC platform Sounds.
