PlayOnFest is going to be like Woodstock confinement: three days of music from the most popular artists of the moment. With the antecedent of the successful charity festival One World: Together At Home -that could see the sabbath in streaming and featured more than 120 artists, the record company Warner Music Group announced another festival of similar characteristics. From tomorrow until Sunday, the festival PlayOnFest be presented with a grid of 65 artists of different musical genres.
However, the difference of this festival with regard to One World: Together At Home is that, instead of that the artists are filmed performing a song from their houses, the proposal is to revive a series of shows that are memorable for those involved.
During these three days of live transmission, which can be viewed on the web Playonfest.com and in the YouTube channel Songkick, viewers will be able to relive the show Coldplay offered in St. Paul in 2017, the explosive action of Bruno Mars at the Apollo Theater and the historical recital The Flaming Lips in the Sydney Opera house.
There is so much more. The list includes artists such as Ed Sheeran, Cardi B, David Guetta, Charlie Puth, Anitta, Weezer, Twenty One Pilots, Roddy, Rich, Paramore, Pablo Alborán, Green Day, Rita Ora, Tones and I, Gary Clark Jr. and The War On Drugs.
During the broadcast, which will begin tomorrow at 13.00 and will finish on the Sunday at 01.00will be presented footage of the artists named in scenarios of large festivals such as Coachella, Lollapalooza, Rock In Rio and Primavera Sound.
During the event will be available the options of making donations, which will be donated to the World Health Organization in the fight against the coronavirus.
“The music is not cancelled,” says the presentation of the festival PlayOnFest. This is a good reason to fill out the weekend of live music and feel again the atmosphere of a recital.
