The american actor Johnny Depp denied on Wednesday having abused his ex-wife, the also actress Amber Heard, whom she accused of being the “abusive” of the relationship, during a hearing held in the High court of London.
Depp sued the british newspaper The Sun and its executive editor, Dan Woottonfor the publication of an article in April 2018 in which it was asserted that there were clear evidence that Depp had abused his former wife, whom he had allegedly caused significant injury, which resulted in a restraining order against him.
During the hearing preparatory to the trial which will start on the 23 of march and is expected to last for ten days, the attorney Depp, David Sherborne, said that this is a case of “very unusual” because the allegations Heard have been “broadcasted publicly on a large scale in the media”, and to a large extent, on the part of the actress.
“There is a contrast between the version of events provided by ms. Heard and the one provided by mr. Depp. It is white and black. A person, one side lies and the other does not. Obviously, we say that it is the lady Heard (who is lying), mr. Depp is totally clear about it,” said Sherborne.
The lawyer noted that the allegations that sustains the actress dating back to 2013, the initial stage of the relationship, and two years before they got married.
He added that there are some recordings of Heard that have recently come to light and that would demonstrate that “it was not a victim of domestic abuse, but that was the aggressor”, because in them seems to indicate that he was physically violent with her ex-husband and that no one would think to Depp if you claimed to have been a victim of domestic violence.

At that time, Heard he got a restraining order against Depp after accusing him of abuse, which he has always denied.
