Billie Eilish and Post Malone are among the nominees for the Webby Awards 2020, which will be performed virtually for the first time.

The annual ceremony aims to celebrate the Internet from popular websites, to social networking pages, films and videos, podcasts and digital audio, as well as mobile sites, applications, advertising and media.
And this year’s ceremony, which will be conducted virtually for the first time on may 19 and will be referred to as ‘Webbys From Home’, due to the pandemic of Covid-19, go to several music stars and celebrities get top honors.
The successful producer of ‘Bad Guy’ Billie is ready to receive the award Viral Video for his YouTube video ‘Watches Fan Covers’ for Glamour, while the promotion of Post Malone to ‘Circles’ is among the best video art and experimental.
Other nominees include Lizzo, Ariana Grande, The Rolling Stones, Wiz Khalifa, and Celine Dion, the latter who is ready for the award of Experimentation and Innovation (Social) for his Search for the treasure of the album on Instagram, and Spotify.
The International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences announced the nominees Tuesday (28.04.20) in 25 categories.
The likes of Jennifer Garner, Jimmy Fallon, Florence Pugh, Leonardo DiCaprio, Idris Elba, Stephen Colbert, Serena Williams, LeBron James, Tom Hanks, Billy Eichner and Chris Evans also arrived at the list.
All nominees are also eligible to receive the special Award, Webby People’s Voice, which is voted on by the fans, as well as the awards for which they are nominated.
The ceremony had to take place in the city of New York on the 11th of may, prior to the closing.
The executive director of the Webby Awards, Claire Bass, said: “the Internet is our glue at this time. It is the most powerful tool to support and uplift each other, and it is not surprising that this year’s nominees are the companies and the people who are leading the charge.
“They have accelerated their wit, using their platforms to respond to this crisis by innovating, connecting, informing, and helping people all over the world.”
The voting for the People’s Voice Award is open from now until midnight on the 7th of may.
