Will Smith cries to remember “Uncle Phil” on reunion virtual cast of “the prince of The rap”


The confinement was forcing actors of the popular series, “The Prince of Rap”, they had a small reunion in a virtual way, in a broadcast by Zoom, which was then shared on social networks.

The actor Will Smith was able to reconnect with Tatyana Ali (Ashley Banks), Karyn Parson (Hillary Banks), Alfonso Riberio (Cartlon Banks), Joseph Marcell (Geoffrey), Daphne Maxwell Reid (Vivian Banks) and Jazzy Jeff (Jazz), in a video call where they remembered the best stories of the renowned program that had its last episode 24 years ago.

Smith initiated a series of programs through Snapchat, which he called as “Will from Home”, where he converses with several of his former teammate of movies or different projects artistic where it has participated.

Tribute to “Uncle Phil”

In the transmission, the members of the program took advantage of the occasion to pay tribute to the actor James Avery, remembered for his role as the “Uncle Phil” and who passed away in 2014 from complications of open-heart surgery.

While shooting a clip with the best scenes of Avery in the series, saw Smith, as well as other actors of the program, moved to tears.

“Our program would not have been what it was without the talent and the light of James Avery,” wrote Will Smith on Instagram, sharing images of the tribute. “All we love you and we miss you, James.”
