The legal battle between Johnny Depp and Amber Heard continues. After that the actress would ensure by 2018 that had been the victim of physical and verbal violence during their marriage, it seems that now it is she who could end up in prison.
According to the International Business Times, Heard could face a penalty of up to three years of prison by forge evidence against Depp. The interpreter said he had bruises in the eyes the night before appearing on The Late Late Show with James Corden in 2015.
However, the stylist Heard, Samantha McMillen, stated that the actress had no injury. “During the day 16 December 2015 I could see clearly that Amber Heard had no visible marks, bruises, cuts, or lesions on the face or any other part of your body,” he said.
“The Penal Code of California declared that it is illegal to alter, amend, plant, place, conceal, fabricate, or move any physical evidence with the intent of making someone is accused of a crime,” notes the publication. “The offering and preparing false evidence are considered serious crimes and carries a maximum penalty of up to three years”, he adds.
For his part, Depp says he has heard that his ex-wife had been “painted bruises” to get a restraining order. Both started the the process of a divorce in August 2016, a procedure that was completed in January 2017.
However, in December 2018, Heard wrote an opinion piece for the Washington Post in which he spoke of the abuse who allegedly suffered during her relationship with Depp. Shortly after the actor filed a libel lawsuit of USD 50 million against it.
