The singer Jennifer Lopez published three videos of gratitude for the workers of health on the 6th of may, in the National Day of Nurses. The Diva of The Bronx specifically thanked the nurses in the Hospital of Montefiore, the Presbyterian Hospital and the Mount Sinai Hospital, in his hometown, New York.
“Hello to you all. I just wanted to take a moment to thank the staff, hospital workers, doctors and nurses of the Hospital of Montefiore for fighting this great battle,” said the singer in her first video. “Your efforts are heroic not gone unnoticed. We love you, we support you and please stay safe. Thank you.”
The singer, 50 years, sent a similar message to the physicians of the presbyterian hospital, at the time that he thanked all the first responders and health care workers in New York city in general.
J. The singer also addressed a special greeting to the workers of the hospital Mont Sinai, that they are “at the epicenter of this pandemic at this time”.
“We love you”, Lopez said. “We are with you and we are very grateful for all that you are doing”.
For all others, Lopez urged her to remain at home. “Please, stay at home for the next three weeks,” said the artist. “That is what you are asking us to do now. We all can overcome this together. I love you all”.
This is not the first time that JLo asked people to stay home. The singer of “Let’s Get Loud” and asked the people to stay inside their homes after she and her boyfriend Alex Rodriguez were seen going to the gym in Miami last month.
“We want you to stay at home to stop the spread of COVID-19”, said Lopez and Rodriguez in a joint statement on Instagram. “We stayed at the home to protect those who are on the front line, the doctors, nurses and technicians who are working so hard to save lives in our hospitals.” The insulation has not been entirely horrible for Lopez and Rodriguez. The former player of the New York Yankees posted a message from Instagram in which he said that he had a “dream day” with his family in Miami.
The star stressed that it was important to stay busy during the quarantine and appreciate the extra time with the family.
“I mentioned this during the live broadcast, but do you know what did Shakespeare when he was put in quarantine because of the plague?”, he said the star. “He wrote the King Lear. You can pass this time or you can take advantage of it and use it to work on your swing, see a ton of videos and become a better player.”
“You can also use it to spend quality time with the family,” continued Rodriguez. “We had fun playing a little baseball in the yard with the four powerful young people in my life.”
