Despite the fact that the start of phase 4 of the MCU had to be postponed by the pandemic caused by the coronavirus, Marvel is already working on new productions that will allow you to further expand this universe and would already be preparing the presentation of a new heroine, so that the series of ‘Ironheart’ would come to Disney Plus.
Now that the land has lost to Tony Stark, after the latter decided to sacrifice himself to defeat Thanos, a new hero is ready to take his place, so Riri Williams will continue the legacy of Iron Man and become Ironheart, which will open the door to a new team of superheroes.
In the comics, Williams is an engineering student at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), who is using parts of the costume of Iron Man, makes his own armor and when Tony Stark falls into a coma, she becomes his successor, something that we could see in the series.
Previously there had arisen a rumor that the series could also count with the participation of Robert Downey Jr, as Stark would be the artificial intelligence that operated the suit of Ironheart and although this has not been confirmed by Marvel, it is certain that it would be a great way to return the character to the MCU.
Likewise, with the team of Avengers decimated by the casualties suffered during the events of ‘Endgame’, Marvel could present Champions, a new squad of superheroes that is made by Ironheart, Ms. Marvel, Sam Alexander’s Nova, Amadeus Cho and Viv Vision, so that the series of Disney+ could serve to introduce the remaining members.
It is as well as the series of ‘Ironheart’ would come to Disney Plus and apparently Riri is destined to become a character relevant within the MCU, since previously Kevin Present expressed that, “if you want to figure it all out in future Marvel movies, you’ll probably need a subscription to Disney+, since the events of the new programs will be included in the upcoming films”, so it is likely that this heroine will become the successor of Iron Man in this universe.
