There are stories in the film that need to be counted in more than one film. Thanks to this, we have the opportunity to enjoy sagas full as Harry Potter, Star Wars and one of the most successful franchises of the seventh art: the Movie Universe of Marvel.
However, not all film franchises have this success. Despite having content to continue producing films, end up being cancelled and forgotten.

#1 Ender’s Game
In 2013, Asa Butterfield starred in Ender’s Game, the film adaptation of the first book of The saga of Ender created by writer Orson Scott Card, which includes the six novels in total.
Despite having a recognized cast with actors such as Harrison Ford, Viola Davis and Ben Kingsley, this first delivery was not successful enough to invest in more movies.
Divergent it is a saga in the film based on the books of science fiction and adventure of Veronica Roth. In general, the film adaptation had been successful and boosted the careers of actors such as Shailene Woodley, miles Teller and Ansel Elgort.
As with Harry Potter and The Hunger Games, Divergent you have opted to split the last book Allegiant in two movies. Unfortunately, the little success of the first part orilló to the production to not perform the second and final installment of this series, which was to bear the name of The Divergent Series: Ascendant.
This film of fantasy and dragons introduced us to the universe created by Christopher Paolini, author of the literary saga The Inheritance Cycle.
The plan was that Eragon outside the first film of a franchise that planned to bring to the big screen the four books of Paolini: Eragon, Eldest, Brisingr and Legacy.
However, after being strongly criticized, these projects only remain as plans.
#4 The Golden Compass
In 2007, it premiered The Golden Compass (The golden Compass) the film adaptation of the first book of the trilogy of Philip Pullman: His Dark Materials.

#5 The Amazing Spider-Man
The two movies The Amazing Spider-Man we presented it to Andrew Garfield as our beloved Peter Parker.
Right at the end of The Amazing Spider-Man 2: Rise of Electro we are all in expectation of a third installment as Harry Osborn seemed to be decided to create a team of supervillanos.
However, the series was cancelled, and shortly after Marvel introduced us to Tom Holland as the new Spider-Man.
#6 I Am Number Four
Produced by Michael Bay, I Am Number Four it was listed as the first movie based on the saga Lorien Legaciesa series of seven volumes written by James Frey.
However, the adaptation of the first book was the only one that came to the screen. The series was cancelled and since we didn’t have the opportunity to learn more about the young lorienses with extraordinary powers.
#7 Percy Jackson
Percy Jackson and the Olympians it is a saga of five books that includes the adventures of Percy Jackson, a young demigod son of Poseidon.
Of the hand of the actor Logan Lerman, we had the opportunity to enjoy two of the film adaptations of this series: Percy Jackson and the thief of the lightning bolt and Percy Jackson and the sea of monsters.
Despite the success, the film saga is not followed and many fans were yearning for the films of the last three books: The curse of the titan, The battle of the labyrinth and The last hero of Olympus.
#8 Lemony Snicket, a series of unfortunate events
Jim Carrey starred in this film, which is based on the first three books of the saga literary A series of unfortunate events of Daniel Handler, under the pseudonym of Lemony Snicket.
This first installment delved into the events reported in A bad start, The room of the reptiles and The window. After this film, there were 10 more books that could make a whole franchise in the cinema.
However, the saga on the big screen just got in this film.
