Bob Dylan announces his first album in eight years: ‘Rough And Rowdy Ways’

Columbia Records confirmed on Friday that ‘Rough And Rowdy Ways’, the first album of original songs of Bob Dylan in eight years, will be published on the 19th of June.

Accompanying the announcement is published ‘False Prophet’song preview of the album already available on all platforms usual music streaming.

The album, which will contain also the advances that have already been published ‘I contain multitudes’ and ‘Murder most foul’ -this only on a separate hard drive in the edition double CD-, will be available in several formats: double CD and digital, and double vinyl drop-down, available in July.

‘Rough And Rowdy Ways’ it is the first new material from Bob Dylan since he became the only composer to receive the Nobel Prize for Literature in 2016; a prize that he was awarded the Swedish Academy “for having created a new poetic expressions within the great tradition of american song”.

Bob Dylan has released seven studio albums in the past 23 years; a creative period that also included the recording of a composition by the winner of an Oscar and a Golden Globe, ‘Things Have Changed’, of the film ‘Wonder Boys’ in 2001; and one of the memories most sold around the world, ‘Chronicles Vol. 1’.
