The soul singer Betty Wright he died after a battle with cancer, according to reports from multiple media. The family of Wright confirmed the death to the portal Essence. Had 66 years and died of cancer at his home in Miami, also reported Billboard.
Wright was diagnosed with cancer of the uterus in the fall, he said Steve Greenberg, president of S-Curve Records, the New York Times.
Wright was known for his song “Clean Up Woman”, which became a success among the first five of the list, according to the biography published on his page Facebook.
