In a single decade, Emilia Clarke made her debut on television, was three times nominated for best supporting actress in a drama series at the Emmy awards –the most important television was as one of the actresses better paid of the small screen –with a salary of two million euros per episode– in 2017 and to shut by 2019 as one of the 100 world’s most influential people according to Time magazine. In those 10 years also had to be subjected to two surgical interventions due to an aneurysm, endure an arduous process of recovery and to face the mourning for his father. But all that seems distant now.
Life is much more serene, says the actress of 33 years, since I was dismissed from Daenerys Targaryen of Storm, a character in the series Game of Thrones (GoT), written by George R. R. Martin and brought to television by HBO. She performed for eight years to the mother of dragons, Khaleesi of the Dothraki, queen of the Ándalos and the Rhoynar and the First Men, lady of the Seven Kingdoms and protector of the realm (that is the full title).
“I must admit that it all feels a bit more quiet. Now that the series is already finished, as are the reactions of the last season, I feel relaxed. It all makes more sense now,” he adds. Emilia Isobel Euphemia Rose Clarke was born in London and grew up in Oxfordshire, to the north-east of the English capital. He was three years old when he saw a presentation of the musical Showboat, where his father worked as a sound engineer, and knew that she wanted to devote herself to acting. The great opportunity came in 2010, when HBO was doing a casting call for the restart of the pilot of the fiction inspired by the saga a Song of ice and fire. The intervention lasted three hours. “After a month I went back to my life, but I was told that I had a small aneurysm on the other side of the brain . Every day, every minute of my life I thought I was going to die,” reads the letter that he wrote for The New Yorker last year, where for the first time his health condition. He faced a second intervention in 2013, when the series aired its third season.
Each episode is difficult, he admits, has taught him to enjoy life more. “An aneurysm, and a deceased father [en 2016] do you have your feet on the ground. Do you know? Never look for me in Google. Never. Also I read the reviews on my work. I don’t think that is healthy. My friends and family make you see life in a more natural way. I am fortunate that the work and the fame I don’t have stolen it”, emphasizes also the founder of the SameYou, an association that helps in the recovery of patients with brain injury.
All that the british star shares with her 27 million followers on Instagram is posted by herself. “I like to tell you that I have the dogs most beautiful in the world, that I am celebrating a project that I truly value or promote brands that matter to me. I am very careful with the latter because I’m not going to support any brand that does not align to what I think”, account before you refer to your new bet: be an ambassador for Clinique at the global level.
“I try the products that I recommend. Actually I apply to my skin. When you find products that work, makes you feel good and you project a shine. That’s what makes you beautiful(a): to be happy,” he reflects, making it clear that everything that you see in your social networks is genuine.
The young artist wants to devote himself to the cinema. Damien Chazelle (The Land) and Greta Gerwig (little women), are some of the directors that would be happy to work. “The director plays an important role and also what you want to count”. Emilia admits to being ready for a new chapter in your life.//
