New York will be may 11, a telethon to support those affected by the coronavirus, in which will participate celebrities like Robert De Niro, J. Lo and Mariah Carey.

The event of a time, organized in collaboration with the group of media iHeartRadio and the local charity Robin Hood, will be hosted by writer, actress, film director and producer Tina Fey.

From 19H00 local (23H00 GMT) will perform on the telethon are a multitude of celebrities, almost all with ties to New York, doing musical performances to raise funds and support the needy.

The group Bon Jovi, Billy Joel, Mariah Carey and Sting be interpreted several songs.
It is also expected the participation of J. Lo, Barbra Streisand, Lin-Manuel Miranda -actor and creator of musical comedy “Hamilton“- and Trevor Noah, driver program “The Daily Show“.

All of the donations will be destined to the association Robin Hoodthat collaborates with more than 250 organizations that provide food to the most needy, and help finding a job or housing.

The number of people killed in the united States, which recorded its first death linked to the virus in early February, amounted to 67,682, of which about 19 billion are concentrated in New York. In total, the country registered 1,158,041 infections.

According to the bureau of employment statistics (BLS), the number of people with work in New York city fell by 129 thousand between the months of February and march.
