‘American Idol’ crown to Sam as the winner of season 18

The champion of season 18, American Idol crowned Just Sam as its new winner on Sunday night. Following in the footsteps of some of the all-time great series, which includes Carrie Underwood and Kelly Clarkson, and, more recently, the winner of season 17, Laine Hardy, the winner of American Idol was announced, and the audience at home is delighted with the announcement.

With the season needing to make a change mid-show after the Round of Hawaii at the Aulani Resort, the Top 20 is played from the comfort of your home instead of playing on the big stage of Los Angeles. With things working differently, the show was a little different in the last few weeks, but it did not stop the eventual winner went to the top. It ended up being Just Sam taking the title as the next idol, beating Arthur Gunn in the first two posts.

At night, there were seven finalists. The competition was divided by two when Louis Knight and Julia Gargano were on the outside looking in while were the top five finalists. Stood Johnny West, Dillon James, Just Sam, Francisco Martin, and Arthur Gunn.

On the final night, Just Sam played for the first time “Stronger (What Doesn’t Kill You)” Kelly Clarkson before choosing to sing “Rise Up” as their personal choice. The native of Harlem had quite a bit of history about it, as evidenced by their round-of-hearing. Just Sam, whose birth name is Samantha Diaz, shared the story of being adopted by their grandmother after being in foster care.

In an interview with Good Housekeeping, Just Sam revealed that she has been doing the rounds on the home in quarantine and not with his grandmother for his safety. She said that it was a decision really difficult. “I can stay in California for my grandmother is well, and do not run the risk of enfermarla,” he said in the interview. “I don’t have much, only my two suitcases I had packed two months ago”.

As the winner, Just Sam will have its easy to “Rise Up” released on Monday and will also appear on Good Morning America and Live with Kelly and Ryan on the same day. American Idol was also renewed for a fourth season on ABC.
