A$AP Rocky, Rihanna and Disclosure will be part of the virtual version of the Big Weekend Festival

In these days we has been more than clear that the Coronavirus is not an impediment to enjoy our favorite music. And although this year the Big Weekend Festival had to be cancelled, BBC Radio 1 plan to take it to the virtual format.

So from Friday 22 may to Sunday 24 will be broadcasting some of the presentations from past editions. Among those that are expected to see is the A$AP Rocky in 2013, the Nas and Jay-Z in 2012 and Aitch, Dave and AJ Tracey in the past year.

But not only we will be able to revive old shows, but also some artists will be doing live-streams from your home. So far, that have confirmed their participation are Sam Smith, Jonas Brothers, Biffi Clyro, Young T & Bugsey, Rita Ora and Anne-Marie.

The idea is that each one of the scenarios that are part of the festival are recreated virtually, through presentations from past and other in vivo.

Another one of their epic shows that will be transmitted are the Billie Eilish, Kings Of Leon, Snoop Dogg, Stormzy, Rihanna, Foo Fighters, and many more. Although the focus of attention will be placed on the Dance Stage, in which we will be able to see the shows of the Disclosure, Fatboy Slim, Bicep, among others.

This year the famous festival conducted by the BBC Radio 1 we had planned out on this same weekend in the Dundee”s Camperdown Park. However, before the pandemic of Coronavirus in the past month of march it was announced that it would be cancelled.
