The public all over the globe are accustomed to seeing Pierce Brosnan to save the world in the James Bond films, but the actor also has his point of hero in real life, since on one occasion he prevented his partner Halle Berry are drowning in the set.

So he told the actress on Tuesday, in an interview with Jimmy Fallon on “The Tonight Show”, where he recalled the incident with humor and also with some shame.

“There was a time that I was doing a scene with Pierce Brosnan in ‘Die Another Day’ (2002) and was supposed that I had to be totally sexy and that I had to try to seduce him with a fig,” he said.

“And I ended up atragantándome with the fig”, he added between laughs.

“Then, he had to do the Heimlich maneuver… So it was nothing sexy, nothing sexy. James Bond knows how to do the Heimlich maneuver. Pierce was there when I needed to, and will always be one of my favorite people in this world”, he added.

Berry, winner of the Oscar for best actress for “Monster”s Ball” (2001), became a “Bond girl” thanks to that movie directed by Lee Tamahori and that was the last tape of Brosnan as 007 before giving the baton to Daniel Craig.

Brosnan also appeared in the media this week when he revealed that Quentin Tarantino met up with him to make together a James Bond movie.

“Pounded the table and said to me ‘you’re the best James Bond, I want to make James Bond’,” said Brosnan in an interview with Esquire magazine about these plans that failed to thrive.

The James Bond saga has been in the news this year for his new release, “No Time to Die”, which was the first major Hollywood production to delay its release in the cinemas due to the global crisis by the coronavirus.

“No Time to Die” arrives on the big screen in November, instead of the release date of April, with a cast that includes Daniel Craig, Ana de Armas and Rami Malek.
