How did “The Morning Show”

The Morning Show is a drama series on Apple TV +. The show premiered in November of 2019 and is played by Aniston, Reese Witherspoon, Steve Carell, Billy Crudup and Mark Duplass.

In the program, Aniston plays Alex Levy, a presenter of a news program on a fictional called The Morning Show. Carell plays his partner in the air Mitch Kessler, who is dismissed for inappropriate sexual conduct, and the character of Witherspoon, Bradley Jackson, appears as the replacement of Mitch.

“The program gives a look behind the curtain of many things: what you will need to carry out an early-morning program, the unique life style of these presenters; the obsession with celebrity culture and humanity in the midst of corruption.” In addition, we addressed the ugly truths of how men have treated women in our society, particularly in the workplace, during all these years, “ said Aniston in InStyle magazine.

She continued: “we’re looking at the ways in which all we have normalized this behaviour and how we are all products of our environment, having grown up with the sexism encoded in our messages, whether it be extreme or subtle. This program analyzes how a culture of silence can evolve slowly and sometimes how we participate without even realizing it ”.

Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon launched the program before the movement #MeToo

While one might assume that The Morning Show was created as a response to the motion #MeToo, the program was launched before. After the accusations of sexual misconduct against Harvey Weinstein, Charlie Rose and Matt Lauer, Aniston feels that the program is even more timely.

“The programme always was about the abuse of power, women and sexism. What we sold in the summer, and then Harvey [Weinstein] it happened in the fall, ” said Aniston. “Reese and I were like …” The program is writing to himself. “It was as if the universe pray that this patriarchal society was exposed. It is a madness.”

The actress is also expected that the program will start a conversation and lead to a real change in the workplace.

“There is a new playbook is being written in real time, and this program explores how we are finally taking steps to recognize and dismantle the old and dysfunctional ways of doing business so that we can level the playing field,” he told InStyle.
