After several budgetary conflicts, Apple TV+ and Paramount Pictures partnered to fund the production of the film “Killers of the flower moon”, the legendary director Martin Scorsese, and starring the famous actor Leonardo DiCaprio, a drama-mystery about murder at an approximate cost of $ 180 million.
Paramount Pictures will continue to distribute the film, while Apple TV+ will do the rest of the funding of the shoot and creative studio of the tape. It should be noted that the film will be an adaptation of the book, acquisition that achieved Imperative Entertainment, and that together with the great of the entertainment will screen the sixth collaboration between DiCaprio and Scorsese, from “The wolf of wall Street” (2013).
Based on the work of non-fiction “Killers of the flower moon”, by David Grann, the tape will return to the story developed in the 1920s in Oklahoma, a place in which the office of research began to investigate a series of murders of wealthy Osage indians, who were given rights by the oil in their lands.
Although the beginning of the filming is in the air, looking for the release in theatres of cinema, however, the production will wait for the availability of the Oscar winner, who currently prepares for the film by Adam McKay to Netflix, alongside Jennifer Lawrence.
“Killers of the flower moon” marks another important move of Apple Tv+, after the last acquisition of the rights to the movie of Tom Hanks “Greyhound”, for $70 million dollars.
