Artistic community stands in solidarity with the protestors for the death of George Floyd


Members of the artistic community around the world are supporting a new fund to assist the protestants after the death of George Floyd.

Floyd for 46 years, died in Minneapolis last may 25, after an altercation with some police officers. Floydwho was african american, was killed when a white police officer knelt on his neck while lying on the ground during his arrest.

Since the incident, the four officers involved have lost their jobs, however, hundreds of people have taken to the streets of Minnesota to protest the murder.

A new fund was launched to help those who are protesting, supported by artists around the world. The Minnesota Freedom Fund, help to the protestants arrested to have money for his bail while the protests continue.

The campaign has been supported by Janelle Monáe, Seth Rogen, Noname, Thundercat, Halsey, Ashy Daddyamong other artists.
