The pop superstar marks the 20th anniversary of his historic album.
Britney Spears is celebrating the 20th anniversary of their album, Oops!…I Did It Again. The pop superstar, 38, took to Instagram to thank a mystery fan during tribute held in honour of the milestone of their second album, which was released on May 16, 2000.
The mounting of the video clips featured a young person of 18 years of age as Britney spoke about her more “mature” follow-up to the 1999 debut…Baby One More Time. The compilation includes fragments of the teens in the recording studio and at a photo shoot for his album, spliced with an interview in which she described her new material as “incredible” and “unbelievable”. The superstar singer was also seen from marvel over his newly acquired fame as she admitted that it was “unlikely” that his name was known all over the world.
Britney posted the tribute to
Instagram along with a thank you to “the one who made this.” The Grammy-winning singer added that she almost fell out of her phone when she saw the tribute because she wasn’t expecting.
“20 years since the Oops! album,” Britney captioned the video. “The anticipation and the butterflies I felt before that came out, it was crazy …. all my expectations have been surpassed!!!! And it’s all thanks to you guys …. thank you for still with me and growing with me. I am a Lucky girl. God Bless you and thank you all.”
Britney also pointed out that fans can now see that until 20 years ago, she liked to spin.

Britney made history 20 years ago with the Oops!… I Did It Again. The album debuted at number 1 in the united states lists of music with more than 1.3 million copies sold during its first week of release, according to Billboard. Oops! we also celebrate 15 years of the largest sales week for an album by a female artist.
In addition to the title track, the album featured the singles “Lucky,” “Stronger” and “Don’t Let Me be the Last to Know”, as well as a cover of the Rolling Stones classic, “(I can’t Get No) Satisfaction.”
Britney’s last album came in the year 2016 with the launch of the Glory.
