Shakira donates ten artificial respirators – Barranquilla – Colombia

The singer in barranquilla, Shakira, made the donation of ten artificial respirators for the care of patients with covid -19 that will be coming to the city in the next few days.

Mayor Jaime Pumarejo confirmed the news through his Twitter account. “I left Miami 10 fans donated by @shakira!”, points to the message that is accompanied by a photo of a truck carrying the equipment.

Fans artificial delivered by the barranquilla add up to one hundred more that are in the way
and were obtained with District resources, and donations.

The mayor says that should arrive to the capital of the Atlantic, before 15 June, to continue addressing the health emergency.

It should be recalled that a month ago, the president, had announced the donation of Shakira, 50,000 face mask N°95, they were delivered to hospital staff.

Barranquilla will also have 100 intensive care Units, additional to increase in 25 per cent of hospital beds ICU. This fact is a relief that will improve the care of patients who might be hospitalized, since, 90 percent of 411 beds in the ICU are occupied.
