The factory Dreamworks unveiled the first extracts of his latest animation film, Trolls, with a presentation at the Cannes film Festival in which the actors that give voice to their protagonists, Justin Timberlake and Anna Kendrick, showed off their skills as singers.
The act in the Palace of Festivals of Cannes attended by hundreds of children invited, that is desgañitaron screaming to Timberlake when he appeared on the scene to sing along to Kendrick your version, guitar at the ready, in True Colors, from Cindy Lauper.
“I love you!”, yelled the actor and singer, a female voice from the darkness of the stalls. “By that voice… I reckon you must have about seven years -he replied Timberlake-. But I love you too”. In that festive atmosphere and multitudinous, up Kendrick -starring in the hit musical Pitch Perfect – you showed self-conscious to the abundant public and said, in his first words, which for her was “a living nightmare”.
Shaken nerves, the couple was released with the song, which also appears in Trolls, and exhibited his great vocal ability to the enthusiasm of the salle Debussy.
The head of Dreamworks, Jeffrey Katzenberg, presented the selected excerpts of the film, which tells of the adventures of the ugly and funny trolls Poppy and Branch, that they must rescue several of his friends kidnapped by the fearsome Bergen.
The film -which picks up the characters created in the 1950s by the dolls toy Troll – is directed by Mike Mitchell and Walt Dohrn, who have participated in the saga Shrek. The soundtrack is produced by the own Timberlake, and features the new single ‘ Cant Stop the Feeling, that the artist is to perform next Saturday at the gala of the Eurovision song contest, to be held in Stockholm.
