Fortaleza holds “D-Day” of multivaccination in 112 health centers this Saturday (16/10)

This Saturday (16/10), the City of Fortaleza holds the “D-Day” of multivaccination in 112 health centers, from 8 am to 4:30 pm with the application of 17 immunization agents, including the flu vaccine.

“D-Day” is part of the National Multivaccination Campaign, which began this October, to reinforce the importance of keeping the vaccination calendar up to date. Children and adolescents under 15 years of age are the target audience of the campaign, which aims to increase vaccine coverage and continue to protect the population from vaccine-preventable diseases.

The initiative seeks to summon the population to keep the vaccination calendar updated, preventing the reappearance of diseases that had already been eradicated thanks to vaccination.

In the municipal network, 14 vaccines are offered to children: BCG, Hepatitis B, Rotavirus, Pentavalent, Inactivated Polio, Pneumococcal 10 Valente, Meningitis C, Triple Viral, Hepatitis A, Chickenpox, Oral Polio, Triple Bacterial (DTP), Yellow Fever and, also, HPV, offered to girls between nine and 14 years old.

For teenagers, five vaccines are offered: ACWY, Triple Viral, Hepatitis B, Double Bacterial – Diphtheria and Tetanus, and also HPV (for boys aged 11 to 14).

To be eligible for vaccinations, it is necessary to attend health centers with an official identity document with a photo, vaccination card and the SUS card.

The vaccination card can also be accessed through the Mais Saúde Fortaleza application, available for download on iOS and Android devices. In the “Vaccination” tab, you can access which are the latest vaccines applied and which are pending.
