Exclusive! Samantha Schmütz ARRASA in ‘Edifício Brasil’, the first and impactful clip of her career, full of references; watch

A complete artist! This Wednesday (23), Samantha Schmütz released the single “Edifício Brasil”, made in partnership with Tropkillaz and Dow Raiz. With a powerful message, the track will be part of the singer’s first EP, whose debut is scheduled for next year. In addition, the sound gained a very impactful clip to call your own.

In the video, Samantha appears walking through this so-called Brazil Building, which is on fire and falling apart, in a clear analogy to our own country. There are also some references to episodes of corruption, violence against women and even the case of the boy Miguel, who fell from a building after his mother’s “mistress” left him alone in the elevator of the condominium where he lived. In one of the scenes, Schmütz appears helping a little boy, before the tragedy happened.

While the artist sings and sends her message, a series of headlines from this real Brazil are displayed on screens behind her. “No, no, I don’t understand the system, no”, warns, at the beginning of the song. “The cheapest meat had to belong to the group that exploited here / Bandits are well dressed, profiting from the story he erased / The misgovernment, I saw / The blow and the newspaper that is to disguise / ‘Capetalism’ is there”, he shouts, in other passages.

Watch the video:

Goosebumps, right?! With reggae beats and Latin overtones, the song has a special meaning for Schmütz. “I’ve always been a Tropkillaz fan, but I got to know their work more closely through Criolo, who introduced us, and, right away, everything went really well! I shared with them the desire I had to work together and also to launch my singing career with new songs”, said.

“They understood the sound I would like to do, they understood that Dow Raiz would be a perfect person to write our story and, thus, we found a true path that is very similar to us! It is a current project, unique and with a lot of identity. We really hope that this sound reaches everyone’s hearts!”, added. Rest assured, Samantha! The message was sent successfully!

Check out the lyrics for “Edifício Brasil”

No, no, I don’t understand the system
No, no, I don’t understand the system, no
No, no, I don’t understand the system
No, no, I don’t understand the system, no
The cheapest meat had to be from the group that exploited here
Bandits walk well dressed cashing in on the story he erased
the misrule, I saw
The shoot and the newspaper that is to disguise
‘Capetalism’ is there
Hold one, ten appear to take the place
It doesn’t matter what you have
But how much will you pay
It can pass everything, but you won’t pass it
It’s programmed eye drops to blind you
The disease is invented for your cure to profit
No no, I don’t understand the system
No no, I don’t understand the system
No no, I don’t understand the system
No no, I don’t understand the system
The problem is often just existing
There’s no way not to give me and want to demand me
I live in the beloved homeland that wants to coerce me
It’s one thing to speak, another thing to feel
Between accepting, supporting, disguising and deleting
A wall interested in you not deciding
The throat of power ready to swallow you
The throat of power ready to swallow you
It doesn’t matter what you have, it’s how much you’re going to pay
It can pass everything but you won’t pass it
It’s programmed eye drops to blind you
The disease is invented for your cure to profit
No no, I don’t understand the system
No no, I don’t understand the system
No no, I don’t understand the system
No no, I don’t understand the system
