Ford Ranger gains new generation with design by the Maverick and F-150 sisters

THE Ford showed the face – and the details – of the new ranger. In global presentation, the 2023 model was fully unveiled and, as expected, it looked like its little sister Maverick. By the way, the big one F-150 it also lends some features to the average pickup truck, such as aesthetics and mechanics. However, it is worth noting that the newcomer’s production is only scheduled for the middle of next year in Thailand and South Africa. In Brazil, it does not arrive until 2023 – imported from Argentina.

Starting with the design, the pickup does not deny its DNA and stands out for its front grille, cut by a bar that invades the headlights region. These have a “C” shape. In the Wildtrack version there is a steel bar at the base of the bumper that supports a kind of “X” in a dark tone, to give it a thicker look.

On the sides, although with more muscle, the straight line that goes from the hood to the rear draws attention. Appears to be wider. At the back, the bumper has grown and the bucket lid is different. As with Maverick, large letters stamped on the bodywork highlight the vehicle’s name in a recessed space in the piece. It can even function as a workbench, says the brand.

Flashlights lit by LED lights appear smaller. The sections, however, are well divided and feature shades of red, black and white. Finally, the measurements give 5 centimeters more at the rear and between the axles. This one, thanks to the repositioning of the front wheels (further forward).

Inside

The new Ranger’s cabin has received quite an upgrade. That dated interior leaves the scene to make room for more modernity. The digital instrument panel is one of the highlights. But the 12″ multimedia center steals the spotlight for you. Vertically, the screen brings together the SYNC4 entertainment system and other features, such as 360-degree cameras and even off-road trail monitoring. Another screen, with 10, 1″, is also available depending on version.

Still in technological equipment, the pickup continues with the new generation of FordPass. The system, in short, allows control of the truck through an application installed on the smartphone. You can turn on the air conditioning, check car data (such as fuel quantity, for example), lock and unlock the doors, and so on. For the cell phone, by the way, it has a wireless charger.
