Argentine newspaper Olé referred to Anitta as “Neymar’s ex” to announce that the singer will appear in the final of the Copa Libertadores, between Palmeiras and Flamengo, this Saturday (27), in Montevideo, Uruguay.
The title of the article doesn’t even mention the name of the Brazilian artist. Olé just wrote: “Neymar’s ex who will sing in the final of the Copa Libertadores”, and published a photo in which the player and the singer appear together.
The vehicle recalled the affair the star had with Neymar during Rio de Janeiro’s 2019 Carnival, saying the singer “has more connections with football than the final (from Libertadores) two years ago.”
Anitta was also one of the attractions of the final between Flamengo and River Plate, in 2019, in Lima, Peru. On the occasion, the funkeira sang alongside Fito Páez, Tini and Sebastián Yatra.
In that clash, the rubro-negro beat the Argentine team by 2-1 and won the cup. With that, the singer considers herself an ‘amulet’ for Flamengo, despite having already declared that she is a Botafogo fan.
In the final between Palmeiras and Flamengo, next Saturday, the 27th, the show will be different. The star will perform solo, setting the tone for a 100% Brazilian final.
