THE Unimed Porto Alegre was the winner of Top Citizenship2021 in the category facing the crisis generated by the new coronaviruswith the actions taken during the pandemic of Covid-19. The award, given by Brazilian Association of Human Resources of Rio Grande do Sul (ABRH-RS), recognized the cooperative’s work to guide and clarify customers, employees, cooperative members and society, as well as social initiatives carried out to minimize the impacts caused by the pandemic. The delivery ceremony took place last night (24), at Leopoldina Youth Association, in Porto Alegre, with a restricted audience, due to the pandemic, and broadcast through the ABRH-RS Youtube.

According to the executive manager of Institutional Relations at Unimed Porto Alegre, Gerson Silva, the initiatives are part of the cooperative’s purpose of making a difference in caring for people. “In essence, we practice our purpose of taking care of people, with relevant actions in this period of instability. Through actions that materialize real proximity to people, the purpose has reached a level of maturity in which it is possible to benefit not only the cooperative’s customers, members and employees, but society as a whole”, he says.
