The week that started this June 20th brought news about social benefits, fuel and the official arrival of winter. In the pension sector, discussions about the 14th salary from the National Institute of Social Security (INSS) regain shape and walk after months without any movement.

Beneficiaries of Auxílio Brasil receive a new round of the benefit in the amount of R$ 400 for the month of June. Transfers were released for citizens who have the Social Registration Number (NIS) with endings 1 and 2.

Aid Brazil starts payments in June
On the 17th of June, the Brazil Aid payments. The beneficiaries were those with the final NIS 1. This Monday, the 20th, it was the turn of the families with the final NIS 2, this Tuesday it will be the turn of those with the final NIS 3 and so on.

Winter starts this Tuesday, June 21
The new station officially starts on Tuesday, June 21, at 6:14 am (Brasilia time) in much of the Brazilian territory. The only exceptions are some parts of the states of Amazonas, Pará and almost all of Amapá and Roraima, which are located in the Northern Hemisphere.
According to data from the National Institute of Meteorology (Inmet), winter is characterized by less rainy weather in the Midwest, Southeast, Northeast and North regions. The incidence of rain ends up going to part of the South Region, the northwest of the North Region and east of the Northeast.
The season ends at 10:04 pm on September 22.
Petrobras denies news that it will freeze fuel prices for 45 days
This Monday, Petrobras denied that the proposal to freeze fuel prices for 45 days is under discussion. The initiative, which was brought to life by counselor Francisco Petros, was not even debated internally.
A letter sent by Petros to the Minister of Mines and Energy, Adolfo Sachsida, Minister of State Chief of Staff, Ciro Nogueira, and to the president of Petrobras, José Mauro Ferreira Coelho, requests that a working group be created with market agents of fuels to propose a sustainable solution for both the state and the country. A period of 45 days was given for this solution to be found.
Petros acts as an independent director of Petrobras. He was elected this year after being nominated by minority shareholders, which are those who own common shares (ON, with voting rights). The proposal prepared by the counselor arrived precisely on the day that the state-owned company announced a new adjustment to the prices of gasoline and diesel.
Return of the 14th salary of the INSS in the Chamber of Deputies
After being stopped for months in the Chamber of Deputies, the 1st4th INSS salary it survives and returns to being a topic of discussion, even receiving the favorable opinion of the Constitution and Justice and Citizenship Commission (CCJ). The project will now be discussed by a special committee on the topic.
Presented in 2020, the proposal for the 14th salary of the INSS seeks to minimize the financial impacts caused by the Covid-19 pandemic on the lives of INSS retirees and pensioners. The text proposes the payment of two installments in the amount of up to two minimum wages, currently at R$ 2,424. If approved, the initiative is expected to benefit approximately R$ 31 million to policyholders across the country.
