Corinthians hosts Boca Juniors next Tuesday for the round of 16 of the Copa Libertadores and may end up being ‘surprised’ with the opponent’s starting lineup. Desiring the first victory over Timão this season, coach Sebastián Battaglia should promote some news in the team.
The defense of the Buenos Aires team can have at least two changes, according to the TyC Sports: Marcos Rojo is being studied on the left side and Carlos Zambrano in defense alongside Izquierdoz. This, importantly, is due to the fact that Frank Fabra is suspended in the competition.
Another option to assume the post of captain of Boca Juniors is Augustín Sández, 21 years old. The Colombian side is Fabra’s immediate reserve, but he is not seen with good eyes for this confrontation. His age and ‘short’ stature are the factors that place him as a second option for the duel in Itaquera.
Therefore, it is speculated that the Argentina team should go to the field with an alternative and more experienced team. With that, the starting team must have: Rossi; Advíncula, Izquierdoz, Zambrano and Rojo; Varela, Fernández and Romero; Zeballos, Villa and Benedetto.
Villa and Rojo are the news regarding the last game against Corinthians, at Bombonera, in Buenos Aires. Both players, it is worth remembering, had to fulfill punishment of six and five matches, respectively, still for the fight in Mineirão, last year, against Atlético Mineiro.
The duel between the two teams will initially take place at Neo Química Arena, on Tuesday, June 28, at 9:30 pm. The return, at Bombonera, will be on the following Tuesday, June 5th, also at 9:30 pm.
