Irandhir Santos falls off his horse and undergoes surgery

Irandhir Santos is away from the recordings of “Pantanal” (Globo).

This column of splash found that the actor, who plays José de Lucas de Nada in the second phase of the plot, fell off his horse during one of the scenes and had to undergo shoulder surgery. He was admitted to a hospital in Recife, undergoes physiotherapy sessions and is expected to return to filming next week.

Irandhir’s fall, according to sources in the column, happened during the final recordings of the cast in the Pantanal region. After the incident, the actor felt severe pain in his shoulder and was taken to a hospital in Campo Grande, Mato Grosso do Sul. However, when he learned that he would have to undergo surgery, he asked to be taken to Recife, so he could be close to his family.

Wanted by this column splash, TV Globo and the actor’s team have not commented on the matter. The space remains open.

Irandhir returned to “Pantanal” for the second phase after playing Joventino at the beginning of the plot.

“It’s a soap opera that brings back that memory. And I thought: ‘I want, I want to face the making of making Pantanal through a rescue and a creation’. Pantanal gives me the opportunity to create — I will never stop creating things what I want to do — and, at the same time, I have a recognition, a tribute to what this story has been”, said the actor recently in an interview with Quem.
